Introduktion

For some fortunate souls, success may seem as though it was handed to them on a silver platter. Conversely, there are those who have invested everything, made profound sacrifices, to grasp the elusive dream of a good life.

Between the years 1850 and 1920, life was far from ideal for many. However, during this era, whispers of the American Dream echoed across the ocean, promising a place where dreams could transform into reality. It offered better job prospects, more favorable weather, and a fresh start in life.

Of course, relocating to a new country came with its challenges, most notably, mastering a new language.

Life in Denmark during this period was fraught with difficulties, including poverty and the shadow of war.
