Utdrag
She As a high school junior and a proud member of the "Slut Squad," Joey's character is introduced as a popular, confident, and socially adept young woman who boldly defies the opinions of others.

However, as the play unfolds, we witness a transformation in Joey's character. When Joey undergoes an interview with the Assistant District Attorney regarding her sexual assault, a naiver and more self-conscious side of her emerges, haunted by concerns about how others perceive her.

She questions her actions, wondering if they somehow invited the assault. "Joey: And it's like, does that really invite what happened? You know?

Buying the condoms made me seem into it-along with everything else about me, I guess. I understand how it looks. It's just not fair. It's bullshit" (p. 25, lines 18, 19, 20).
