Introduktion
Cyberbullying has become an all-too-common experience for many, especially among students, and it poses a significant problem, particularly within educational institutions.
Numerous pupils are now failing their classes, often because they are falling behind due to the effects of cyberbullying.
This situation urgently needs to change, with schools placing a greater emphasis on addressing and curbing this issue.
Cyberbullying occurs primarily on the internet and frequently involves teenagers harassing, humiliating, threatening, or targeting their peers through various social media platforms.
The consequences can be severe, leading to mental and social issues, a loss of self-esteem, and in the most tragic cases, suicide attempts.
Alarming statistics from the anti-bullying charity Ditch the Label reveal that 56% of bullied students felt their education was suffering, with a higher likelihood of achieving lower grades, such as a grade D or below at GCSE. Shockingly, nearly one in three have resorted to self-harm, and 10% have attempted suicide.
