Rosa Parks was a woman who stood up for her rights on a segregated bus when she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger.
Her courage to stand up for her rights as a human being led to several people standing up for their rights too and that
they now no longer wanted a segregated society.
She was born on February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. James and Leona McCauley were her parents and they got divorced when Rosa Parks was only two years old.
She was involved in various incidents where racial discrimation has occurred several times. She lived in a society that was very segregated
where white people had more and better opportunities while the black ones were unfortunately not considered as valuable and did not have the same opportunities and conditions at all.
