1989; the year in which Voyager 2 arrived on Neptune, the last Soviet troops left Afghanistan, Chinese students demonstrated on the Tiananmen Square and the year in which a suicidal man published a collection of short stories. The man was David Foster Wallace. However, no one could possibly know that he, nineteen years later, would be found on the patio hung by the neck.

The collection is called ‘’Girl with Curious Hair’’ and contains a novel by the same name. It reveals the story of a Republican, an affluent lawyer who spends time with his punk friends at a Keith Jarrett concert. His friends act under the influence of LSD. The lawyer himself is not a punk – but his psychopathic traits allows him to fit in with the misfits.
