Greetings, everyone! I stand before you today to dive into the enchanting topic of "Christmas Holidays." Before delving into the festivities, allow me to introduce myself.

I'm Kristian Kollerup, 18 years old, and a student here at Turøgade. The task at hand is to shed light on Christmas, encompassing Danish and American traditions, and to provide a glimpse into my own Christmas experience this year.

Houses, both inside and out, are festooned with decorations, including lavishly adorned indoor trees, embellished with lights and ornaments.

Due to the country's religious diversity, the greeting "Happy Holidays" is often preferred over "Merry Christmas," acknowledging that not everyone celebrates the holiday.

Christmas Eve on the 24th brings a traditional dinner with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a delectable array of side dishes and desserts, from pumpkin pie to Christmas pudding.

As for my own Christmas this year, the festivities commenced on November 21st, when my family and I ventured out to select a Christmas tree, which we've placed in our garden, awaiting its transformation with decorations accumulated over the years.

On the first Sunday of Advent, we convened at my grandmother's house for a hearty lunch, accompanied by early Christmas presents from my parents. Advent presents followed, small tokens of anticipation.
