Our purpose here is to address the pressing issue of escalating poverty in the United Kingdom.

The harsh reality is that nearly anyone can fall into poverty, regardless of their background. Unexpected events such as bereavement, illness, job loss, or relationship breakdowns can be all it takes to push us into situations from which escape seems impossible.
Poverty squanders the potential of individuals, depriving our society and economy of the skills and contributions they could offer.
For most of us, our families are our most important support network and defense against financial and emotional hardship. Family stability and parental support form the bedrock of a child's life.
Children raised in stable households have a better chance of thriving and accessing future opportunities. Many impoverished parents provide stability and security despite the immense challenges they face.
During a recent parliamentary debate on this issue of poverty, we were disheartened to witness how little concern a prominent government official demonstrated.
Prime Minister Theresa May seemingly evaded the statistics and stated, "The best route out of poverty is to be in the workplace.
