Introduktion
Greetings, everyone. I'm Sophie Bayers, and I'm also a student at the University of London. Today, I'd like to discuss the growing trend of publicly expressing our emotions and vulnerability and how this may impact our levels of success.

To start, let's explore the significance of vulnerability. What exactly is vulnerability? Sometimes, we carry around feelings of shame that we keep hidden from others, locking them away within ourselves.

But what if I told you that by concealing this shame, you're actually holding yourself back from being your authentic self? Human beings crave connection, and one way we establish this connection is by being vulnerable.

Utdrag
Suppressing your sensitivity can trap you in a vicious cycle, compelling you to discard the very emotions that make you unique. By sharing a part of yourself with others, you signal to them that you are comfortable with who you are.

Consider the recent press conference where the renowned football player Lionel Messi bid farewell to his longtime club, Barcelona FC, where he had been playing since the age of 13.

The emotional depth displayed in that conference was palpable. Messi exhibited vulnerability as he expressed gratitude to his fans and former teammates.

If he had chosen not to reveal this vulnerability, he wouldn't have been able to convey his deep emotions, appreciation for his fans, and the club.

He showed what it's like to let go of something that has felt like home and has been a part of his life since childhood.

To fully experience life and feel the love of those around you, you must acknowledge that you are deserving of love and care.
