Plants are multicellular organisms that play an important role in the ecosystem and are essential for the survival of other organisms. Many organisms are dependent on plants since they carry out many processes that are vital for the environment.
These processes include photosynthesis, cell respiration, and transpiration. I believe that the plant's ability to show indeterminate growth is what makes it a distinctive organism compared to other organisms that demonstrate a certain growth limit.
This is why I strongly believe that we should put more time into research that investigates how abiotic factors influence plants and their functions such as growth.
One abiotic factor that influences plant growth is salinity. Salinity in plants is a problem as it may inhibit plant growth if the plant is exposed to high levels of salinity.
Moreover, it can influence other aspects of the plant such as germination and reproductive development.
What is the effect of changing the concentration of sodium chloride (Salinity) (1M, 0.5M, 0.25M, 0.125M, 0.0625M) on both germination and growth of Vigna radiata seeds, calculated by measuring the height of the seedling using a ruler mm?

A pilot experiment was conducted over the duration of 6 days to determine the appropriate levels of salt concentration that should be used in the actual experiment.
Moreover, it was done to observe if mung beans germinated at room temperature and in case the original experiment didn’t prevail. The method used in the preliminary experiment was not identical to the method used in the actual experiment.
In the pilot experiment, Petri dishes and cotton were used instead of plant pots because they directly display which beans have germinated and which have not.
The salt concentrations used in the pilot experiment are (1M, 0.5M, 0.25M, 0.125M, 0.0625M). Five Petri dishes that contained cotton were used and each Petri dish represented a separate condition in the pilot experiment.
After 6 days the results were recorded as seen in figure 1. According to the results obtained In the pilot experiment
I managed to identify a correlation between the levels of salinity and the rate of germination. As the salinity increased, fewer seeds would germinate and vice versa.
