As the princess's birthday drew near, The King found himself weary and vexed by the relentless pursuit of his daughter's hand in marriage by every eligible suitor in the kingdom.

Unable to bear the incessant clamor, the cunning stepmother approached him privately, her voice dripping with persuasion.

"Your Highness," she whispered, "it may be wise to send your daughter far from here, for her presence causes turmoil in the kingdom."

The King, influenced by his wife's counsel, ultimately made the decision to send his daughter on a quest in search of a suitable prince. He believed it would serve as a means to distance her from the kingdom.

"A prince awaits you in a distant castle," he declared to the princess, masking his true intentions. "Fail to win his heart, and you shall never return to this land."

The princess was well aware of her stepmother's scheme, instigating a wave of fear within her. Nonetheless, she drew strength from her mother's teachings, cherished since childhood: "You can overcome anything you fear, my dear, for you carry your mother's love with you."
